Friends told me about Restaurant and my first time was more of what I expect. The service was amazing, employees very knowledgeable and friendly, restaurant atmosphere adorable. I strongly recommend, I will be back with friends đ„°
Dress nice! The Rose Plantation is a fantastic âdate nightâ restaurant, especially if youâre looking for a classic southern style atmosphere. The salads and soups are excellent to start! All of our entrees were amazing - I personally had the chefâs special pork belly marsala pasta with wild mushrooms and apple (something I wanted to experiment on as I typically wouldnât try something like this - and it blew me away!!!!). We all shared some bites, and the prime rib, scallops, and rack of lamb were all 10/10. Try to save room for dessert! I had the molten chocolate lava cake (one if the best Iâve ever had), but if thatâs not your thing, Iâve heard the ice cream is amazing - they source it from Mystic Ice Cream! Will definitely be back here for special occasions or anniversaries - there is a relatively strict dress code and the average age of patrons was around 75, so a very quiet and chill atmosphere with live piano played throughout the night!
Came here for our anniversary dinner, a special occasion. Plenty of parking. We had a reservation and we're promptly seated. The menu had a good variety and our server answered any questions we had about the menu. The food was delivered to our table in a reasonable amount of time, and it was absolutely delicious. The portion sizes were very generous. My wife ordered the pot roast and I had the pork chop. For dessert. My wife had a piece of coconut cream pie, and she said it's the best she has ever tasted. We had a very good experience here tonight.
Located in an old southern style plantation home with a beautiful history, this classy restaurant is a jewel in the area. Great wine list at excellent prices, good cocktails drinks, and a very good menu typical of old style restaurants with class. Beautiful venue and location. Piano music excellent.
Service is very accommodating, friendly, although kind of slow. Food has a very good, not excellent taste, but better than most restaurants in the area. My lamb chops were small but with excellent taste. The prime rib was somewhat hard and chewy but with great taste. Appetizers, vegetables, and bake potatoes perfect. Dessert pies are excellent.
I would recommend the following: 1) any excellent restaurant that want to excel teaches the servers about the different menus, wines, and daily specials. My server was super nice but was going back and forth asking to the kitchen in order to answer our questions.
2) a good kitchen should be able to accommodate tastes without sacrificing menu selection. Do not tell a patron you cannot do a rare steak. ( not my table ) Just explain him the different tenderness base on the meat you buy and at different temperatures.
3) pay more attention on how to serve the tables and plates presentation.
Overall a very good restaurant which I will visit again. Just need a little more attention.
Beautiful mansion, Floridian decor with wooden floors, gorgeous grounds. I had their delicious âsangrĂaâ (white wine, vodka, pineapple and peach juices.) Squash soup was too thick and just ok, plain Caesar salad on a big plate. The parmesan chicken sandwich with thick bacon was excellent. The side I chose was potato salad (eggs, shredded carrots.) Hubby had the wagyu burger - was very good. Great service, reasonable prices.
This historic waterfront home is a destination opportunity for diners. Whether dining in private outdoor tents, or indoors, in one of several different rooms, the experience is unique. I enjoyed an assortment of smaller dishes on my visit.
Their Crab Cake was the most popular order among our party of four, as we each ordered them. No doubt, it consists almost entirely of blue crab meat with practically no filler at all! Market priced at $26 each on this evening, I savored each bite.
The Lobster Bisque was simply sublime. Richly flavored and delicately textured, it was a perfect compliment to the crab cake.
My Walnut Berry salad was obviously rushed to make up for a forgotten delivery, and lacked some ingredients (the walnuts, for one!), my wife had the completed version, and it was quite good.
I finished the meal with a slice of Coconut Cream Pie. It simply could not have been better.
Overall, The Rose Plantation is a special restaurant with a unique atmosphere one should experience if the budget allows. We certainly enjoyed our visit.
The Rose Plantation is beautiful. Lake out back. They have a swing you can sit in and just take in the view. Herons and egrets everywhere. The food was wonderful and the service was 5*. I went at lunchtime, but I know I will be going back at dinner time with my husband. The main dining room has a grand piano, and I am hoping that on Fridays and Saturdays, someone will be playing it.
Wonderful experience! My husband and I went for Thanksgiving dinner. We arrived a little before our reservation time and we were seated immediately. The service was excellent and the meal was delicious. The Rose Plantation is a wonderful âŠ
